Deeply touched by the sufferings of innocent people around the world, Zain also sings about the harsh realities of war in two sombre but deeply moving songs namely Have you Heard? and I Won't Weep for You. The latter being an ode to Mohammed al Durrah, a 12-year-old Palestinian boy who died in his fathers arms as the entire world watched.
On a lighter note, Faith features two new songs which are, in the humble opinion of this writer, destined to become part of Muslim culture. Both joyous and touching, The Wedding Song and Cloud of Islam are original, exciting and spiritually uplifting.
Also, in line with what people have come to expect from Zain Bhikha, tracks like Mount Hira and Glory be to Allah further enhances the album with soothing sounds that inspire listeners towards our Creator.
This album also features world renowned, Canadian artist Dawud Wharnsby-Ali who appears in duet with Zain on two of the tracks. Dawud, who is well known for his recordings like A Whisper of Peace and Road to Medina, met Zain in London and enthusiastically participated on the project. One thing is clear: the synergy of these two compelling voices results in a beautifully unique sound. Perhaps the start of many more to come!
